The process below describes how use the iPC 10.5.6 AppleAzaliaAudio kext (driver), to setup the Azalia High Defnition Audio chipset present on the NVidia nForce 730i motherboard.
Outputs: Line out, 2 channels stereo.
- Delete Extensions.mkext (backup first)
- Delete AppleHDA.kext if installed (backup first)
- Install or copy AppleAzaliaAudio.kext to working folder on Desktop and backup.
Note: Can be installed from Packages folder on iPC OSX86 10.5.6 Final DVD. - Open Info.plist in AppleAzaliaAudio.kext
- Edit by adding entry 0x10deffff, as shown below (0x10de=NVidia)
<key>IOHDAudioCodecVendorID</key>
<string>0x10deffff 0x10ecffff 0x14f1ffff 0x11d4ffff 0x434dffff 0x8384ffff</string> - Save as Info.plist, replace
- Continue into the Plugins folder
- Open Info.plist in the AppleAzaliaController.kext
- Add 0xac010de, as shown below (0xac01=MCP79 High Def Audio)
<key>IOPCIPrimaryMatch</key>
<string>0x0ac010de 0x26688086 0x27d88086 0x284b8086 0x32881106 0x026c10de 0x037110de 0x03e410de 0x03f010de 0x044a10de 0x044b10de 0x437b1002 0x43831002 0x75021039</string> - Save as Info.plist again, replacing inside kext archive
- Install the kext using KextHelper Application (drag and drop whole kext inside)
Finally:
- Double check, delete Extensions.mkext again if it has been recreated.
- Repair permissions with OSx86 Tools, deleting all caches, etc...

Hi
As you might see, this post is over 1 year old. I believe by now you may be able to find a better guide in more recent blogs. WinkTinkler (the post author) is out of reach so I'm afraid I can not help you on this issue, but I seem to remember that the lack of volume control was a problem with this approach. If you can't live without the volume control I encourage you to keep searching.
Good luck! :)
yeah, but i am suffering with this stupid issue..
i want to get my audio working.. -.-
